Underwriting Assistant (CSR)
This is for our "gatekeeper" position. This position is primarily responsible for processing all incoming correspondence via phone, fax, postal mail and email. Duties include logging in the receipt of mail, faxes and agent requests; maintenance of account files; answering phones and directing them to the proper person/department.

The Underwriting Assistant forwards and directs correspondence to the proper person to expedite processing. This position determines the urgency of the correspondence/request as well as determining the person who is best equipped to handle the task. They must have the ability to simultaneously operate in multiple computer software systems. In order to succeed, this individual should possess the drive and desire to increase their insurance knowledge.


Underwriter Technician (Rater)
This position is ultimately responsible for the computation of premiums and the processing of agents’ requests. The Rater will also maintain rating manuals, coordinate workflow, assist underwriters in securing account information and train staff members. They will be responsible for inputting policy data for the issuance of the insured’s policy. They must also have the ability to simultaneously operate in multiple computer software systems.

Associate Underwriter
This position requires the applicant to have insurance knowledge and skills to assist the underwriter in processing quotes, be able to bind the quotes, review inspections, process endorsements and effectively communicate with agents and outside companies. The associate Underwriter’s main responsibility is to keep the underwriter’s work flowing in the most efficient manner possible. They are required to develop their underwriting knowledge and work toward acquiring their own broker’s license. They must also have the ability to simultaneously operate in multiple computer software systems.

Underwriter
This position’s primary responsibility is perform account analysis and to generate a profitable book of business. The Underwriter is required to coach and train staff members in the development of the necessary skills needed to perform each job efficiently and effectively. They will review inspection reports; process quotations, review agent’s requests and rate. They must have a broker’s license. They must also have the ability to simultaneously operate in multiple computer software systems.
